A flickr group - Mundo Uno
"created to keep people united, to develop a culture of peace, share some knowledge, to support actions for peace"---A Flickr group starts with Tatiana Cardeal, a Brazilian independet photographer/visual artist.
In the group, It mentions that:
The black ribbon was what started this group (July/2006) and united all people here when Israel/ Hezbollah war was on its worst days. After that, some fellows decided to use other colors on their ribbons, changed the black, also mixed them with their buddyicons, creating personal "buddyribbons"... so people were doing as their own way, and we decided to support that. Many chose to not use the ribbons, but wanted to stay sharing and supporting the group, and those were welcome too... maybe someday we will need to use that black ribbon again, all together, but feel free to make your choice for now.
All issues that involve actions to develop peace and respect in the world could be shared here, and also campaigns to help the victims of war. Everyone is welcome to contribute, just remember that we pretend to be a neutral group, to develop life's human respect.
Why don't we all change our icons for a while using this black ribbon instead.
It is a way for us to say:stop the killing of civilians in both sides.
Stop this war.
